His most recent novel, Redemption Prep (Harper-Collins, April 2020), was a New York Times & Indie Bestseller. It is currently in active development for television with MGM TV.
His debut, A Lite Too Bright (Harper-Collins, May 2018), released to critical acclaim & three starred reviews. The book has been translated into four languages & released in eight countries.
His first feature film as a writer / producer, Hey Viktor!, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and is due 2024 from CRAVE Canada.
Samuel grew up the son of a pastor & a teacher in Vermillion, South Dakota. In addition to writing novels, Samuel has directed a number of major label music videos, & attended the University of Southern California's MFA program in Film & Television Production.

A: Thank you. I'm quite fit as well.
Q: How long have you been an author?
A: Since 2013.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Vermillion, South Dakota!!
Q: When did your books come out?
A: A Lite Too Bright (2018) & Redemption Prep (2020) both came out in 1915.
Q: Where can I buy your books?
A: Keep clicking randomly around this website & eventually something will pop up asking you for money.
Q: How long does it take you to write a book?
A: About two years. Six months of research, six months of drafting, six months of revision, & a solid six months of self doubt mixed in there, which is spent mostly in the shower.
Q: Do you write anything other than books?
A: Yes. Film & television too! Also music, for most of my life. Also some poetry.

A: I think you're thinking of Zac Efron.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: Play basketball, coach little league, watch television, & create mischief with my local neighborhood hooligans.

A: To cry in public more often.
